In
December, you will graph the results of each stock using Excel.
The final
product will be a PowerPoint
presentation that includes the Excel graphs, and information about each company
including the name, ticker symbol, the type of company, and its’ competition.

1. Choose three stocks from the sites below or
if you have any favorites use
those.

2. Once you have decided on your three stocks
enter the full company name and Ticker
symbol on
your
spreadsheet in a header. Include the
following column headings:
Date (Fridays only), # of shares, Price Per Share, Balance, Profit/Loss
Use formulas!!!!! (Follow
the example)
4. Every
Friday, check your stock at: http://finance.yahoo.com/
---put your ticker symbol in. Enter the
price per share on the spreadsheet. All other columns should change because
formulas have been
entered on the spreadsheet and dragged
down. Mrs.
5 Write three checks to purchase the
stocks. The Payee (person receiving the check) is your banker—
Mrs.
On the memo line enter the name of the
stock and the number of shares purchased.
6. This
step can be worked during your free time!!!!!!
After you have entered the correct amounts
every Friday on your spreadsheet continue working on
the information for each of your three stocks. The information is for your PowerPoint
presentation.
Include in your PowerPoint presentation:
The slide show will consist of at least 9 Slides.

additional slides may be put in any order you choose. You are the presenter.
