The Task

You will be part of a journalism team composed of three members: the journalist, the photojournalist, and the editor. You will rotate roles each day for three days so that you will have the opportunity to play each of the roles. Each day, your group will analyze an article from a different newspaper. You will be given the name of the newspaper but your group must decide which article you will analyze. You may not do an article that appears in the Sports section unless it is a major news story. Worksheets for the analysis are linked below. You will fill out the sheet attached to your role; you may ask for the help of the other members of your group if you need it. When everyone in the group has completed their task, the group members should share information. You may be asked to present your findings to the class. At the end of the webquest, you will be asked to write your own unbiased news article from a set of predetermined facts.
