Now you are going to become the author of the Anglo-Saxon version of the Cinderella story. Access the following site to read different cultural versions of the Cinderella story. Suggestions: The Cinder Maid (France), Katie Woodencloak (Norway), The Wicked Stepmother (India).
List at least five elements that the tales have in common. Make sure that your original Anglo-Saxon story includes these elements.
Now write an Anglo-Saxon version of the story using the facts that you learned on your journey to England. Include as many of the following aspects of Anglo-Saxon culture as possible. Be sure to check off items as you incorporate them into your story. Feel free to consult the students who reported on the various aspects of Anglo-Saxon culture. They are your experts.
