Requirements for Final Drafts

 

Ø     Proper heading single-spaced in the upper left-hand corner as follows:

 

Name

English Period #

Due Date

Assignment

 

Ø     A title for the essay centered above the first paragraph

 

Ø     Final drafts should be formatted as follows:

§        typed*

§        12 point Times New Roman (or something similar to this font)

§        double-spaced

§        one inch margin on the right and left sides

 

Ø     Final drafts should be turned in (stapled) with all prewriting and the rubric in the following order:

 

          Top à        Final Draft

                              Revised Draft

                              Rough Draft

                             Prewriting

          Bottom à   Rubric or Scoring Guide

 

 

* If you are unable to type your final draft, you may write neatly in blue or black ink (not pencil) on white, lined paper. If you use notebook paper, cut off the jagged edges.

 

Note: Having computer or printer problems is not a valid excuse for not turning in a paper on time. Where there is a will, there is a way to complete an assignment.
