Brochure Project
A Webquest
Designed to answer the Essential Question

around the world. We have already
studied that Spanish is spoken in

The entire brochure must be in Spanish. ¡No inglés! You must pass in a rough draft that includes the
following on the task list. this must be corrected by me before you produce
your final brochure. You have 5 days to complete the brochure. Your grade will
go down one whole grade for each day it is received late. Use the following links to find your information on the web.

After you have
completed the rough draft you may begin searching for photos that you want to
decorate your brochure with. You will
need the handout provided on Creating a
Brochure using MS Publisher .
Simply follow the directions from this handout that Mrs. Castraberti has made
for you. Remember to use the brochure
style that has 3 panels. On the first page you will need to create the cover,
the back flap and the inside flap. Make
sure your greeting is on the cover and your checklist is on the backflap. You may add any other additional information on
the second page. All pages must be
complete. When you add a picture from
the internet make sure you cite the source.
Don’t forget to save often!
Use may also use the Shortcut Keys for other Windows Software
handout to insert the foreign language accents or use insert symbols on the
toolbar. Remember these are important because
it may make a difference in meaning without an accent.

sample projects on the table in the computer lab to see what constitutes an
excellent project, a good project, and a fair project. Use your imagination and be creative when
designing your brochure. Make sure you

In conclusion, I hope
you have all enjoyed doing this alternate assessment instead of a boring old test. With the help of Mrs. Castraberti we were able to
learn how flexible the publisher software is. I think we made such beautiful
travel brochures that we could start our own travel company. We were able to
cover informal (tú) commands; vocabulary about clothing,
greetings, foods, modes of transportation, and travel items; and weather
expressions. We learned some important
information about all the Spanish speaking countries in the world in just a few
days! We found out
about some of our misconceptions about Spanish culture and how
