The Maconomet Performing Arts Department offers a variety of courses reflecting students' interests in drama, dance, and music. Whether it be participating in our instrumental or choral ensembles, taking part in acting or choreography classes, or learning more about how music is composed through our music theory and music technology offerings, we see the performing arts as a vehicle for empowering our students to reach beyond their perceived potential, invest in meaningful collaboration and community, and expand their understandings of themselves and people from a variety different backgrounds and experiences. Indeed, the arts bring us together while helping to develop skills that will easily transfer to any vocation our students pursue thereafter.
All Masconomet High School students must earn at least 5 credits (one full year or two semester-long classes) in Performing and/or Visual Arts.
