This past September, AP Art Studio students, once again, participated in the Memory Project. The Memory Project is a program started by Ben Schumaker. Ben and his team travel the world, taking portraits of youth living in difficult situations and/or extreme poverty. He then sends those portraits to the youth here in the United States, so that young artists here can create one of a kind, hand made portraits that are then hand delivered to the recipients. This year, students created portraits for young women in Afghanistan.
