- Girls on the Run Junior Coach - Serving as a Junior Coach is a fun and rewarding way to get involved with Girls on the Run! This volunteer position is for high school girls aged 16-18 years old who want to grow their leadership skills. Paired with a Mentor Coach, Junior Coaches receive support to develop their own skills while serving as role models to program participants. Girls on the Run inspires individuals of all abilities to discover, build, and grow their self-confidence. Together, they experience a sense of belonging and connection as a team. Volunteer coaches facilitate lessons that blend physical activity with life skill development, including managing emotions, fostering friendships, and expressing empathy. At the end of the season, the team completes a Community Impact Project and a 5K together, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment and sets a confident mindset into motion. Practices take place Tuesday and Thursday but Junior Coaches need only commit to one day per week beginning Tuesday, September 23rd and going through November 13th at Proctor Elementary School from 4-5:30pm. - Materials Delivery for Topsfield Schools - New teaching materials are being delivered for the new literacy program. I will need help to unbox, catalog and deliver multiple sets of teaching materials. 1 or 2 volunteers per building would be great. We might not need both full days, but I'm allowing for the flexibility. I'd need to travel from school to school, so the exact start time might vary by an hour. I'd love to touch base with volunteers prior to get these logistics organized. Also, should there be any delay in delivery, I'd need to cancel. - Help needed at Spofford Pond School - We will be receiving many boxes with materials for school. - TriTown Rock Band - If you love music and helping others, look no further than TriTown Rock Band. We’re seeking students in grades 7-12 to join us in mentoring youth with disabilities at our rehearsals and many public performances. No musical talent or experience is required. Since we’re a performing ensemble, you must commit to attending our weekly rehearsals throughout the school year. - Distributing Curriculum to Classrooms at Cole School - We are in the process of implementing a new curriculum and are expecting a significant number of boxes to be delivered to the school. These will need to be distributed to the individual classrooms. Assistance will be needed with opening the boxes and transporting them—using a wheeled cart if necessary—to the appropriate rooms. Assistance is needed on August 15th and 19th at Cole School in Boxford from 9am-2pm meeting in the Cole School cafeteria. - Fuller Meadow School Garden (Middleton) - We are looking for students who would be interested in weeding, preparing the garden beds, helping K-2 students to plant the seeds in the beginning of June, and then maintain and harvest the garden throughout the summer. I know it is a lot of work. In the past, the veggies have been donated to the Middleton Food Pantry during the summer and any remaining veggies in the fall have been part of the school lunches.

- Horizons After School Programs - Tri-town schools are seeking volunteers for their after school programs around 3:30-4:30pm. - New England Equine Rescue North - I have a non-profit horse, donkey, and mule rescue in West Newbury MA. We help equines and their owners throughout New England. We have many projects to be done that are just not in our budget to hire helpers and were hoping that our organization could be suggested to teens looking for community projects. We are in need of Spring and fall clean-ups around the property, multiple date event help IE; Topsfield fair demos, Open houses, etc., painting projects, light carpentry projects, cleaning and organizing work areas, etc. Just to name a few things on our wish list. - Tri-Town Council is Offering a Virtual Tutoring Program- High school students serve as Peer Tutors for students in grades 3 to 12. Peer tutors are in charge of working with their student and the student's parent to set up virtual tutoring sessions. Peer tutors complete a Virtual Tutor Notebook after each session that is reviewed by Julia Lucey the peer tutor coordinator. This can be set up anytime and any day. - Rest-Stop-Ranch- Fulfill volunteer requirements with a weekly social connection while helping actualize our mission and vision. Any prospective volunteer is welcome to “come and see” the volunteer opportunity. Seasonal volunteers usually commit to a weekly schedule, April – November. Help offer therapeutic program hospitality (once per week, Tuesday or Thursday, 1pm – 4pm) or (once monthly 2nd Sunday 10am to 2pm). Work with a small team to support guests navigating the gardens. Help with outreach in the community (flexible schedule). March 19 or March 21/28: ANNUAL Volunteer Orientation & Training Once at the beginning of our Spring Season, we offer a comprehensive volunteer orientation & training for all seasonal volunteers helping with guest services in the garden on weekdays Tuesdays – Thursdays and weekends (Sunday.). Sessions average 3-4 hours, and include volunteer introductions, ice breaker activities, Rest-Stop-Ranch history lessons, volunteer expectations, and best practices. - Community Giving Tree - "Our mission is to provide families in the local community with basic necessities such as clothing, diapers and wipes, and baby equipment. Donations of these items help children to grow and thrive, and be successful in life." The After School Program is seeking volunteers available two days a week. There is also a Select Saturdays Program with opportunities on the first Saturday of every month. These are teens only programs. - Windrush Farm is looking for volunteers to help people with challenges Learn to Ride! Several opportunities for people 14 and up to help in classes, giving physical and emotional support to our riders.We would love to have people with experience with horses to lead them during classes.
