Each student is required to complete 10 hours of community service every year as part of the graduation requirement. While we encourage students to do more hours, any hours completed in the past school years cannot be completed ahead of time for upcoming school years. Students completing hours over the summer months are able to apply those to the upcoming school year. If you are new to Masco, you are required to complete 10 hours of community service for each year of enrollment at Masco in order to meet the graduation requirement.
A few things to remember:
- Community service hours cannot be completed at for-profit institutions or organizations.
- Community Service hours cannot be completed for individuals in a student’s family.
- Students cannot get paid for community service hours.
Senior year hours are due by January 15th.
Freshman, Sophomore and Junior year hours are due by May 31st.

Due to the challenges of the pandemic, the following are amended requirements for each year of graduation:
Class of 2022: 10 hours
Class of 2023: 20 hours
Class of 2024: 30 hours
Class of 2025: 40 hours
**The hours required may be evaluated in June 2022, if circumstances change.
