Welcome to the Masconomet Regional School District finance and budget website. On this page you will find information about our districts goals and the financial plan to support the high quality educational programs that are the hallmark of a Masconomet education. In addition, you will find performance reports such as quarterly financial reports for the current year, the audited financial statements, the management letter, the capital plan, and other important documents.
Every three years the district bond rating is re-evaluated by the banking community. This past spring, the rating was increased to AA+. The upgrade reflects what the rating agency views as:
- The strong credit characteristics of the towns
- The district's stable financial position, with consistent general fund results and good cash reserves; and
- The district's low overall net debt burden coupled with limited capital needs

A common measure of cost comparison used in the Commonwealth is per pupil spending, published by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Masconomet's per pupil spending has been below the state average for the past decade and yet the MCAS (Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System) scores are consistently in the top echelon within the in the state.
