Community Assistance Program (CAP)
-
SHAC is pleased to announce the formation of the Community Assistance Program or CAP. CAP is an extension of our annual Holiday Assistance Program that provides help during the giving months of November and December. SHAC will now continue to partner with Tri-Town Council and the Tri-Town School Union in providing assistance to local families throughout the school year. This past year was particularly difficult as the community felt the devastating effects of COVID-19. The pandemic continues to affect our daily lives in a myriad of ways, both financially and emotionally. CAP can provide assistance in the form of gift cards, food, and financial aid to help defray essential costs. Additionally, our specific COVID Volunteer Program can provide assistance to families quarantined or isolated in their homes. Our volunteers run essential errands to pick up or drop off supplies at school, pharmacy or grocery stores. If you or someone you know could use some assistance during these difficult times, please don't hesitate to contact one of the individuals listed below. You can also fill out our request form directly and send it directly to one of the contacts using the information include on the form.
